Waldemar Zacharasiewicz
* 1942 in Graz
ist em. Prof. für Anglistik und Amerikanistik an der Universität Wien, wo er das Kanadazentrum bis 2013 leitete. Seit 2024 leitet er die Kommission ›Connecting the World‹ an der ÖAW. Seine Arbeitsgebiete sind der transatlantische Kulturaustausch, der amerikanische Süden und das anglophone Kanada. Zuletzt erschienen: »Artificial Intelligence and Human Enhancement: Affirmative and Critical Approaches in the Humanities« (Mithg.; 2022)
